Anna Marie Casali started the Kaleidoscope Dance Company as an in-studio performance group.  The purpose of the company was to have a select number of dancers available year-round for special performances, which included the Grosse Pointe War Memorial’s Great Gatsby Night and the Detroit Public Library’s Motown Review Show, where Martha Reeves was in attendance.  The Kaleidoscope Dance Company also performed at St. John’s Hospital Auxiliary, Noel Night, and the Festival of Trees Teddy Bear Tea Party.  Once the demand for holiday performances increased, the group became the Casali Holiday Dancers.
The main goal of the Casali Holiday Dancers is to perform throughout the community during the holiday season.  The dancers, parents, and teachers all donate their time and energy to help bring happiness to others.  The dances are choreographed under the direction of Anna Marie Casali and Patrice Iannace; in addition to choreographing, they also help prepare the dancers for their performances, which include Toys for Tots, the historical Redford Theater Christmas Show, the Grosse Pointe Santa Parade, the St. Clair Shores Tree Lighting, numerous senior living and assisted living shows, the St. Clair Shores Memorial Day Parade, and many others.
The Casali Holiday Dancer program is open to all Casali students that meet the following criteria:  Dancers must be at least 10 years old, have at least three years dance experience, take a minimum of three classes each week, and have hip-level kicks.
